The Mahnomen/Waubun Thunderbirds's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 71-57 to Ada-Borup, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

Ada-Borup's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cadyn Dahl, who went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 20 points and 4 assists. The match was Dahl's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Spaeth, who scored 16 points along with six assists and four steals.

Mahnomen/Waubun's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Ada-Borup, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Mahnomen/Waubun will head out on the road to face off against Badger/Greenbush-Middle River at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Badger/Greenbush-Middle River is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. Ada-Borup will be home for the holidays to greet Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four contests -- so hopefully Ada-Borup likes a good challenge.
