Baseball Game Preview: Ringgold Rams vs. Uniontown Red Raiders

For the second straight game, Ringgold will face off against Uniontown. The Rams will take on the Red Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Ringgold's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Uniontown's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Ringgold took a loss when they played away from home last Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Uniontown a 4-0 shutout.

The result came thanks to Tyler Fisher's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up six Ks. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Gavin Angotti, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Andrew Sprinkle also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Uniontown dropped their record down to 2-8 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Ringgold, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8.
