Softball Recap: Cerritos Takes a Loss

Cerritos and Shadow Hills squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Cerritos had to settle for second. They fell 8-3 to the Knights. That makes it the first time this season the Dons have let down their home crowd.

Adelyn Archie was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

Cerritos' loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Shadow Hills, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Cerritos does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Shadow Hills, they will take on Viewpoint at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Patriots have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season.
