Volleyball Game Preview: Mayde Creek Rams vs. Oak Ridge War Eagles

The Mayde Creek Rams will square off against the Oak Ridge War Eagles at 10:15 a.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Mayde Creek had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. Everything went their way against Jersey Village as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Rams have beaten the Falcons the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Falcons has come to flipping the script.

Mayde Creek's got stronger as the match went on, holding Jersey Village to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-21, 25-18.

Oak Ridge hadn't beaten Summer Creek on the road since August 6, 2019 but that history sure didn't bother them on Tuesday. The War Eagles walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Bulldogs.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 18-25, 25-18, 25-13.

Mayde Creek couldn't quite get it done against Oak Ridge in their previous meeting back in August of 2018 as they fell 2-0.
