Recap: Chase Kats vs. Ness City Eagles
Sadly, the Chase Kats are still looking for their first win of the season after 16 games. They were beaten by Ness City 58-19 on Monday. Chase was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-12.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ness City to victory, but perhaps none more so than Monica Jordan, who scored four points along with eight rebounds and eight steals. Jordan is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashlyn Tillitson, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Chase's defeat was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-15-1. As for Ness City, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Chase will be playing at home against LaCrosse at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. LaCrosse presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Chase in Kansas (LaCrosse is ranked 162nd, while Chase is ranked 358th). As for Ness City, they will head out on the road to face off against Ellis at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
