Baseball Recap: Lake Nona's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Lake Nona had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They had just enough and edged out the Apopka Blue Darters 11-9. For the Lions, this counts as revenge for the 7-5 win the Blue Darters walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2022.

Luis Bracho looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

At the plate, Marco Solorzano was incredible, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-5. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Leonardo Suarez, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Lake Nona's victory bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Apopka, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.

The future could be bright for both Lake Nona and Apopka: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Lake Nona will look to extend Innovation's three-game losing streak when they meet at 7:00 p.m. on March 26th. Similarly, Apopka will try to hand East River their third-straight loss when the two meet at 7:00 p.m. on March 24th.
