Softball Recap: Lee Takes a Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Lee couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell 7-3 to the Appomattox County Raiders on Tuesday. The Generals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lee saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addie Taylor, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Lee's defeat dropped their record down to 20-8. As for Appomattox County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-3 record this season.

Lee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Appomattox County, they will take on King William at 12:30 p.m. on Friday. The Cavaliers will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Raiders surely won't give up without a fight.
