Volleyball Recap: Northwest Mounties vs. Lumen Christi Catholic Titans
Northwest was the 3-1 winner over Lumen Christi Catholic when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Mounties fell just short of the Titans by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Mounties have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
Northwest couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Lumen Christi Catholic a tough time in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-17, 28-30, 25-17, 16-14.
Charlotte Rusch paced Northwest's offense, picking up 17 kills. Rusch got some help from Emersyn Carroll and her 24 assists. Avery Redmond and Adalyn Mack kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.
Northwest's loss dropped their record down to 3-27-4. As for Lumen Christi Catholic, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-15-2.
As of now, neither Northwest nor the Titans have any future games scheduled.
