Basketball Recap: Salem Triumphs

Salem's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 56-53 win over the Scottsburg Warriors. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Lions considering their 17-point performance the game before.

With the victory, Salem broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-7. As for Scottsburg, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Salem Lions challenge the Corydon Central Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th. As for Scottsburg, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 66-29 loss against New Albany on the 18th.
