Soccer Recap: Gulf Wins Going Away Against Fivay

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against River Ridge, Gulf was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 5-1 margin over the Fivay Falcons. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Buccaneers' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Gulf's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-6-1. As for Fivay, they dropped their record down to 2-12 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home.

Gulf will square off against Anclote at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Fivay, it'll be Battle of the Birds when the Fivay take on the Springstead at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Springstead is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.8 goals per game this season.
