It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Highland can now relate to. They came up short against the Corona del Sol Aztecs on Monday, falling 3-0. The Hawks' loss signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

Highland was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Corona del Sol work for it, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-16, 27-25, 25-18.

Corona del Sol was led to victory by Avalon Legg and Brenna Walsh. Legg had 15 digs and two assists, while Walsh had 12 digs and one assist. That's the most assists Legg has posted since back in October of 2024.

Highland's defeat dropped their record down to 28-10. As for Corona del Sol, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 33-6.

Highland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Corona del Sol, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Hamilton on the 13th.
