For the second straight game, Tupelo will face off against Clinton. The Golden Wave will be playing in front of their home fans against the Arrows at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tupelo is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.

Tupelo is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Clinton.

For Clinton's part, they got a great performance from Parker Burrow as he pitched 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Burrow has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Ethan Dodson was excellent, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Clinton hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in nine consecutive matchups.

Clinton pushed their record up to 16-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Tupelo, their loss dropped their record down to 12-12.
