League recap: Patterson throws longest pass in league this season for Platteview

Russell Patterson and Seth Starks provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Roncalli Catholic. The connection was good for 74 yards, the longest such play in B District 2 this season.

Nebraska City lost to Elkhorn South 55-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.

Platteview's dynamic duo of Patterson and Starks proved tough for the Crimson Pride to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Patterson threw for 129 yards and Starks had 74 yards receiving. Ryan Shipley helped Platteview's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 43 yards.

The Trojans' dynamic duo of Patterson and Starks proved to be unstoppable against Roncalli Catholic, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.

Dayne Schlamann was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 9 carries, he ran for 54 yards as Waverly lost to Mike Berens' team. Teammate Jon Murray added to the ground attack by rushing for 42 yards.

Patterson put up the best numbers through the air as Adam Kuhl's team fell to the Crimson Pride.

Starks was the best wideout in the league this week as the Trojans fell to Roncalli Catholic.

The Pioneers made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,442 from 10,755. The advance stemmed from a 55-6 victory over Nebraska City last week.
