Softball Recap: Southern Aroostook's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak on the Road

After flying high against Ashland on Thursday, Southern Aroostook came back down to earth. The Warriors lost 14-4 to the Central Aroostook Panthers on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-9 back in April.

Southern Aroostook saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooke Shields, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Southern Aroostook's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-3. As for Central Aroostook, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 9-0.

Southern Aroostook has already played their next game, a 16-3 win against Hodgdon on the 27th. As for Central Aroostook, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 17-7 defeat against Ashland on the 27th.
