Volleyball Recap: Strongsville Mustangs vs. GlenOak Golden Eagles

Strongsville entered their tilt with GlenOak on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They had just enough and edged the GlenOak Golden Eagles out 3-2.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Strongsville who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 23-25, 25-11, 22-25, 15-11.

Strongsville was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in eight consecutive games.

GlenOak's loss came despite strong showings from Mya Smith and Emmerson Kush. Smith had 17 digs, while Kush had 13 digs. Kush is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in the last four games she's played.

Strongsville has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. As for GlenOak, they dropped their record down to 7-14 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Strongsville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Mentor on the 24th. GlenOak does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
