Basketball Recap: Rich Skates Past St. Joseph with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rich). They breezed by the St. Joseph Jayhawks to the tune of 77-39 on Friday. The Rebels have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Ridge Lundgren was his usual excellent self, going 9 of 10 on his way to 21 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Drake Weston, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 15 points.

The win made it two in a row for Rich and bumps their season record up to 7-2. As for St. Joseph, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.

Rich has already played their next game, a 66-48 victory against Tintic on the 4th. As for St. Joseph, they will venture away from home to square off against Waterford at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
