Football Recap: Lee Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Lee lost against Gadsden City back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Generals were dealt a 44-6 defeat at the hands of the Titans. While losing is never fun, the Generals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 258th, while the Titans are ranked 39th).

Caleb Shultz threw for 64 yards and one touchdown. Travis Rich Jr was his top target, picking up 33 receiving yards and one TD.

Keyshawn Curry went supernova For Gadsden City., picking up 108 receiving yards and three scores, while also rushing for 60 yards and one TD on only five carries. Those three receiving touchdowns gave Curry a new career-high.

Lee's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Gadsden City, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lee will take on Hazel Green at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Generals are facing the Trojans at the right time seeing as the Trojans are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Gadsden City, they will square off against Fort Payne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Titans will need to watch out since the Wildcats have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests.
