Volleyball Recap: Klein Collins Takes a Loss

Klein Collins was the 3-1 winner over Klein Cain when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Tigers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hurricanes on Saturday. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gabrielle Stewart paced Klein Collins' offense, picking up seven kills. Stewart got some help from Avery Guinn and her 15 assists. Guinn was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Klein Cain can attribute much of their success to Morgan Thompson, who had 14 digs and one assist. Thompson has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Klein Collins' defeat dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Klein Cain, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Klein Collins has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Magnolia West on the 26th. As for Klein Cain, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Conroe on the 23rd.
