Soccer Game Preview: Burnet vs. Lago Vista

The Burnet Bulldogs will head out to square off against the Lago Vista Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Burnet's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Friday just wasn't the day for Burnet's offense. They came up short against Austin Achieve on Friday, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 576th, while the Polar Bears are ranked 231st).

Meanwhile, Lago Vista lost 7-2 to Northeast Early College on Tuesday. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Burnet's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9-2. As for Lago Vista, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6-5.

Everything went Burnet's way against Lago Vista when the teams last played back in February, as Burnet made off with a 5-1 victory. In that match, Burnet amassed a halftime lead of 4-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
