Dracut can bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They skirted past the Central Catholic Raiders 3-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 back in April.

Dracut took Central Catholic into a fifth set where they got it done with a ten-point win. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 26-24, 25-15, 22-25, 15-5.

Logan Phousengthong paced Dracut's offense, picking up 16 kills. Phousengthong got some help from Alexander Sophuok and his 41 assists. Remey Nhim controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Dracut's victory bumped their record up to 4-14. As for Central Catholic, they dropped their record down to 2-15 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Dracut and Central Catholic could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Massachusetts Rankings. The Middies will square off against Lowell at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank disadvantage (115 vs. 13). Meanwhile, Central Catholic (ranked 119th) will meet Chelmsford (ranked 14th) at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
