The St. Bede Bruins will square off against the Yorkville Christian Mustangs at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. St. Bede is coming into the  matchup hot, having won their last 11 games.
St. Bede is headed in fresh off scoring the most  runs they have   all season. Everything went their way against Henry-Senachwine on Friday as they made off with  a  20-5 victory. Considering the Bruins have won 12 games by more than five  runs this season, Friday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Geno Dinges made a splash while hitting and pitching. He  struck out six batters over  2.1 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Dinges was also stellar in the batter's box,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with three  runs and two  RBI.

 In other batting news,  Gus Burr was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with one  home run, eight  RBI,  and two  runs. Those  eight  RBI gave  him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Alan Spencer, who  went 2-for-4 with two  runs, two  RBI,  and one  double.
 St. Bede  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .688. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Yorkville Christian lost  9-1 to Wheaton Academy on Monday.
 Yorkville Christian saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Brody Davis, who  went 1-for-3 with one  RBI.
 St. Bede pushed their record up to 25-4 with the  win, which was their sixth straight  at home. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Yorkville Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 15-9.
 St. Bede came out on top in a nail-biter against Yorkville Christian in their previous meeting  back in May of 2023, sneaking past  1-0. Do  the Bruins have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
