Justin Wyatt Jr. Crosses Big Stat Threshold

Justin Wyatt Jr. produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Highland to the win on Friday. Wyatt Jr. threw for 269 yards and five touchdowns on only 16 passes, and also rushed for 55 yards and two touchdowns. Thanks to that strong showing, he's now averaging 3.1 passing touchdowns per game. Highland is undefeated when Wyatt Jr. posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 2-3 otherwise.

The victory (which was Lancaster's fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-2. Walker and Lancaster will look to defend their home field on Friday against Highland at 7:00 p.m.

Joshua Suarez's Big Game Leads Palmdale over Littlerock

Joshua Suarez was instrumental in extending Palmdale's winning streak to three on Thursday. Suarez turned in nothing short of a gem, throwing for 211 yards and five touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes. Suarez is crushing it when it comes to passing touchdowns: he's passed for at least four every time he's taken the field this season.

The win got Palmdale back to even at 4-4. Suarez and Palmdale will square off against Eastside at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Blanchard Posts Huge Game in 49-7 Victory

The second Highland player making an appearance here is Demond Blanchard, and for good reason. He picked up 164 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 74 yards.

Jaden Graham Makes Top Five

Rounding off our Top Five is Jaden Graham of Quartz Hill. Graham rushed for 89 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries. He has become a key player for Quartz Hill: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise.

Graham might have his next game, a road matchup with Antelope Valley, circled on his calendar. Graham rushed for 201 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry the last time he and the Antelopes duked it out back in October of 2023.
