Softball Game Preview: Brentwood School Eagles vs. Archer School for Girls Panthers

Brentwood School hasn't had much luck against Archer School for Girls recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Panthers at 3:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Brentwood School took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Oakwood, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Eagles narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Owls 10-8.

Meanwhile, Archer School for Girls entered their tilt with Marymount on Monday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Sailors. Considering the Panthers have won six matchups by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Archer School for Girls' victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Brentwood School, their victory ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-5.
