Volleyball Recap: Cambridge Rindge & Latin Falls Short Against Ranked Winchester

Cambridge Rindge & Latin faced Winchester in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Falcons fell 3-1 to the Red & Black. If the Falcons were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Red & Black when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Cambridge Rindge & Latin was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Winchester work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 29-27, 25-15, 20-25, 25-20.

Brennan Loud paced Cambridge Rindge & Latin's offense, picking up 13 kills. Loud got some help from Isaac Vang and his 19 assists. Loud was also a major player on defense: he and he shared the team lead in blocks, finishing with two each.

Cambridge Rindge & Latin dropped their record down to 13-7 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Winchester, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Cambridge Rindge & Latin nor Winchester have any future games scheduled.
