Volleyball Recap: Springfield Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Trinidad on Tuesday, Springfield came back down to earth. The Longhorns came up short against the McClave Cardinals on Saturday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Longhorns in their meetings with the Cardinals: they've now lost five in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-2, 25-9, 25-5.

Cobi Mackey paced Springfield's offense, picking up three kills. Mackey were helped by Dakota Reid and Brilynn Jackson, who contributed two assists each.

Springfield's defeat dropped their record down to 12-11. As for McClave, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-2.

As of now, neither Springfield nor the Cardinals have any future games scheduled.
