Recap: Boston Trinity Academy Lions vs. Lexington Christian Academy Lions
After a string of four wins, the Boston Trinity Academy Lions's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took a 74-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lexington Christian Academy. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ceadan McCusker, who scored 20 points along with two steals. McCusker continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Kyle Cameron Martin was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven rebounds.
Boston Trinity Academy's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-7. As for Lexington Christian Academy, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Boston Trinity Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Wheeler at 4:00 p.m. on February 20th. Boston Trinity Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five games -- so hopefully Wheeler likes a good challenge. As for Lexington Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Berwick Academy at 5:30 p.m.
