Silver Creek was the 60-52 winner over Bloomington South when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Silver Creek Dragons took a 73-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bloomington South Panthers on Saturday. The Dragons' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Silver Creek lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kasen Daeger, who went 7 for 16 on his way to 19 points. Another player making a difference was Dane Sprigler, who went 5 of 11 en route to 14 points.

Silver Creek's loss dropped their record down to 16-3. As for Bloomington South, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Silver Creek will venture away from home to challenge Salem at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
