Volleyball Recap: Goshen Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Goshen waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Wilmington Hurricane by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on September 4th.

Goshen's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emma Ulrey, who had 22 digs and three aces. That's the most aces Ulrey has posted over her last seven contests. Another player making a difference was Savannah Chun, who had 17 digs and five assists.

They weren't the only good servers: Goshen was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in three consecutive matches.

Goshen's victory bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Wilmington, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Goshen will take on Clinton-Massie at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wilmington, they will face off against Monroe at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
