Recap: Riverside Generals vs. Bishop Kenny Crusaders
The Riverside Generals's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by Bishop Kenny on the road and fell 65-7. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Riverside has scored all season.
Bishop Kenny's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Clare Coyle, who scored 14 points along with two steals. Makala DesJarlais was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Riverside has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Bishop Kenny, their win was their 23rd straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Riverside will take on Fleming Island at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Fleming Island focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday. As for Bishop Kenny, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Parker at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. Parker is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
