Basketball Recap: Beechwood Takes a Loss

Beechwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 41-35 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bracken County Polar Bears. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Polar Bears apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2021.

Beechwood's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Bracken County, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Beechwood won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Newport at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bracken County, they will head out on the road to take on St. Patrick at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bracken County is facing St. Patrick at the right time seeing as St. Patrick is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
