Football Game Preview: Rushville-Industry Rockets vs. Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes

The Rushville-Industry Rockets will challenge the Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

If Rushville-Industry beats Abingdon/Avon with 54 points on Friday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. The Rockets breezed past Stark County to the tune of 54-19 on Friday. Considering the Rockets have won four games by more than 31 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Rylan Reimolds was his usual excellent self, rushing for 205 yards and three TDs on only 13 carries. His longest rush was for an incredible 90 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Rushville-Industry was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 547 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Abingdon/Avon beat Havana 31-26 on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Tornadoes in their matchups with the Ducks: they've now won three in a row.

Rushville-Industry's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Abingdon/Avon, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.
