Basketball Recap: Clarksburg Comes Up Short

On Friday, the Clarksburg Coyotes came up short against the Severna Park Falcons and fell 51-38. While losing is never fun, the Coyotes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 240th, while the Falcons are ranked 104th).

Clarksburg's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Severna Park, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.

Clarksburg will look to defend their home court on January 3rd against Northwest at 7:15 p.m. Northwest is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 66.7 points per game this season. As for Severna Park, they are taking a road trip to face off against Chesapeake Science Point at 6:45 p.m. on January 3rd.
