Basketball Recap: Southeastern Comes Up Short

Southeastern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 66-44 to the New Standard Academy Spartans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Jungaleers of the 76-49 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

Southeastern's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for New Standard Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-2.

Southeastern and New Standard Academy will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Jungaleers see the court they'll take on Melvindale at 4:30 p.m. on January 4, 2026. As for New Standard Academy, their break will end when they face Hamady at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2026.
