Soccer Game Preview: Weston vs. Lincoln-Sudbury

Weston hasn't had much luck against Lincoln-Sudbury recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Wildcats will head out to face off against the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Weston fell victim to Boston Latin and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolfpack.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Lincoln-Sudbury was not quite Waltham's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 1-0. The result was nothing new for Lincoln-Sudbury as the squad haven't won a game since October 4th.

Lincoln-Sudbury's loss dropped their record down to 3-8-4. As for Weston, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7-5.

Weston was able to grind out a solid win over Lincoln-Sudbury when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
