Basketball Recap: Ava Lone Bear Key Part of a Team Effort in Warriors Win

Brockton hadn't done well against Culbertson recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Brockton Warriors came out on top against the Culbertson Cowboys by a score of 54-41. The Warriors pushed the score to 43-23 by the end of the third, a deficit the Cowboys cut but never quite recovered from.

Brockton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ava Lone Bear led the charge by putting up 13 points. Another player making a difference was Tamryn Bauer, who posted 13 points.

Brockton has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.6 points over those games. As for Culbertson, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-14.

Coincidentally, Brockton and Culbertson will both be playing Bainville the next time they take the court. Culbertson will head out to face Bainville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Brockton will host them at 4:00 p.m. on February 15th.
