Football Recap: Riverside Military Academy Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After soaring to 34 points the game before, Riverside Military Academy was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They lost 27-6 to the Lakeview Academy Lions. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost five in a row.

JJ Blackwell threw for 72 yards while completing 72.7% of his passes. Shaka Rorie was his top target, picking up 34 receiving yards and one TD. On the ground, Michael Omeh rushed for 32 yards.

Kyari Burch looked great while leading his team to the win, rushing for 69 yards and one score on only nine carries, while also throwing for 105 yards and one touchdown while completing 80% of his passes.

Riverside Military Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Lakeview Academy, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Looking ahead, Riverside Military Academy will challenge Loganville Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Blackwell and Kylan Fryar. As for Lakeview Academy, they will host Bethlehem Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Knights will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight.
