Fitzgerald and Northeast squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Fitzgerald had to settle for second. They were outmatched by the Northeast Raiders on the road and fell 46-14. The Purple Hurricane were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.

Nick Woodford continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Northeast, rushing for 326 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 14.2 yards per carry, and also picking up 30 receiving yards and a touchdown. Woodford has been hot , having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last seven times he's played. Reginald Glover also helped out as he racked up 105 rushing yards.

Fitzgerald moved to 10-4 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Northeast, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-2.

Fitzgerald does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Northeast, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Toombs County at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
