Basketball Recap: Nevada Takes a Loss

If Nevada was riding high fresh off their 55-13 takedown of South Hamilton last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Nevada Cubs were outmatched by the Roland-Story Norsemen and fell 57-24. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cubs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 59-15 back in December of 2024.

Nevada now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Roland-Story, they pushed their record up to 13-2 with the win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nevada will take on Waverly-Shell Rock at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Waverly-Shell Rock's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests. As for Roland-Story, they will challenge Perry at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Roland-Story's defense has only allowed 29.9 points per game this season, so Perry's offense will have their work cut out for them.
