Basketball Recap: Central Sets Scoring Season-High Against York Prep

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Central). They blew past the York Prep Patriots, posting a 53-22 victory. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Eagles with their most commanding win of the season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jariyah Sowell, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and ten assists. Those 20 points gave Sowell a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tashia Quick, who posted 17 points and eight rebounds.

Central's record now sits at 4-19. As for York Prep, their loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-16.

Central has already played their next game, a 62-23 defeat against Blacksburg on the 17th. York Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
