Basketball Recap: Power Center Academy Knights vs. Memphis School of Excellence Winchester Eagles
After flying high against Sheffield last Thursday, Power Center Academy came back down to earth. The Power Center Academy Knights were beaten by the Memphis School of Excellence Winchester Eagles 73-41 on Friday. The Knights were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-23.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Memphis School of Excellence Winchester to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tatianna Woods, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten steals. What's more, Woods also racked up seven assists, the most she's had since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Ahmiya Thompson, who went 11 of 23 en route to 26 points along with seven boards and five steals.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Power Center Academy will venture away from home to square off against Lausanne Collegiate at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Memphis School of Excellence Winchester, they will head out to take on Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
