Recap: Wooster Colts vs. Rancho Rams
The Wooster Colts were the 55-54 winner over the Rancho Rams when they last played one another back in December of 2017, but their luck changed this time around. Wooster was outmatched by Rancho on the road and fell 69-31. Wooster was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-21.
When it comes to explaining why Wooster lost on Tuesday, one person who can't be blamed is Fernando Cisneros. Despite the final result, he scored eight points.
Rancho got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Caleb Roston out in front who scored 14 points along with six steals and five rebounds. Those six steals set a new season-high mark for him. Jailen Childress was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five rebounds.
Wooster has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. As for Rancho, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.
Wooster won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Chaparral at 4:00 p.m. on December 27, 2023. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nevada (Chaparral is ranked 75th, while Wooster is ranked 52nd). Rancho will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Cypress at 4:00 p.m. on December 27, 2023. Cypress is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
