Football Recap: Hicksville Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Hicksville extended their losing streak to eight on Friday, dropping them down to 1-9. They took a blow against the Fairview Apaches, falling 70-22. The Aces were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-6.

Hicksville's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cross Zeedyk, who rushed for 143 yards and one touchdown on only 14 carries. Another player making a difference was Collin Leavell, who gained 150 total yards and two touchdowns.

As for Fairview, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-1. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

William Zeedyk continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 142 yards and three scores on only seven carries, while also throwing for 295 yards and five TDs while completing 72% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (150.8). Gavin Meade also helped with two touchdowns in total.

Hicksville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fairview, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 42-6 win against Tinora on the 31st.
