Two dominant backs in Matthew Young and Keshaun Muckle are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Switzerland County Pacers will host the Clarksville Generals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Alex Bailey was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 131 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.2 yards per carry, and also threw for 126 yards and one TD on only 11 passes. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in August of 2024.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Clarksville). They breezed past Crawford County to the tune of 42-8 on Friday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Generals with their most commanding win of the season.
A big part of Clarksville's victory came down to the chemistry between Caleb Hawkins and his top target Julien Gibson. Hawkins threw for 220 yards and three TDs while Gibson rushed for 123 yards and a pair of scores on only 11 carries. Hawkins' passing game has become a key predictor of Clarksville's success: the team is 4-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-4 otherwise.
Clarksville didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Tristan Hildalgo and Elijah Winburn.
The win got Clarksville back to even at 5-5. As for Switzerland County, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.
Friday's game might be decided in the trenches. Switzerland County has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 244.5 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Clarksville, though, as they've been averaging only 63.6 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
Everything came up roses for Switzerland County against Clarksville in their previous meeting back in September, as the squad secured a 48-0 win. Will the Pacers repeat their success, or do the Generals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
