Newburgh Free Academy extended their home winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Terrinashjae 'TT' Burden. The Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks came out on top against the Valley Central Vikings by a score of 56-45 on Thursday thanks in part to Burden, who went 7-for-10 to rack up 18 points and three steals. Her evening made it nine games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Cora Kerin, who posted nine points. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Newburgh Free Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Valley Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.

Looking ahead, Newburgh Free Academy will head out on the road to square off against Monroe-Woodbury at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Newburgh Free Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Valley Central, they will welcome Warwick at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
