Softball Recap: Brunswick Comes Up Short

Brunswick was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They came up short against the Hampden Broncos, falling 16-1. The Dragons were not able to make up for their loss to the Broncos from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.

Brunswick's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Hampden, they pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Brunswick will square off against rival Camden Hills at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Hampden is set to challenge their familiar foe Brewer at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Broncos 2.8, the Witches 0.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
