Lexington beats Ashland for their second straight win

Recap: Lexington Minutemen vs. Ashland Arrows
Even though The Lexington Minutemen have not done well against the Ashland Arrows recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Lexington walked away with a 24-14 victory over Ashland. That's two games straight that Lexington has won by exactly ten points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Lexington and bumps their season record up to 5-5. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-9 Madison Comprehensive (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 30% over those games). As for Ashland, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lexington will face off against Mansfield Senior at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mansfield Senior is coming into the contest hot, having won their last eight games. As for Ashland, they will head out on the road to face off against Columbian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Columbian presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Ashland in Ohio (Columbian is ranked 50th, while Ashland is ranked 280th).
