Preview: Everett Alvarez Eagles vs. Palma Chieftains
Everett Alvarez is 0-8 against Palma since November of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Everett Alvarez Eagles will be playing at home against the Palma Chieftains at 7:30 p.m. The timing isn't great for Everett Alvarez: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Palma has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road.
Last Friday, Everett Alvarez was the victim of a tough 50-24 loss at the hands of Monterey. While losing is never fun, Everett Alvarez can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 528th, while Monterey is ranked 222nd).
Meanwhile, Palma suffered a tough 34-14 loss at the hands of Salinas on Friday. Palma was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-7.
Palma's loss came about despite a quality game from Drew Molinari, who rushed for 83 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.
The losses dropped Everett Alvarez to 2-7 and Palma to 5-4.
Everett Alvarez took a serious blow against Palma when the teams last played back in September of 2022, falling 27-0. Will Everett Alvarez have more luck at home instead of on the road?
