Soccer Game Preview: Juneau-Douglas vs. Wasilla

For the second straight game, Juneau-Douglas will face off against Wasilla. The Crimson Bears will host the Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Juneau-Douglas is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.

Juneau-Douglas is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alaska's top teams: Wasilla, who was ranked 11th at the time (Juneau-Douglas was ranked second). The Crimson Bears put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 5-2 victory on Friday. Considering Juneau-Douglas have won eight matches by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Wasilla with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Ahmir Parker (2), Fixx Siner, Kai Ciambor, and Caden Haygood.

Wasilla has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-7-3 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those four games. As for Juneau-Douglas, their win bumped their record up to 10-1-3.
