Basketball Recap: Makiyah Cathey's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Montevallo over Westminster School at Oak Mountain

Montevallo lost against Westminster School at Oak Mountain back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bulldogs fell 50-46 to the Knights.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Makiyah Cathey, who posted 11 points. Chassidy Peeples was another key player, putting up nine points.

Montevallo dropped their record down to 3-6 with the loss, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Westminster School at Oak Mountain, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-4.

Montevallo wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 45-16 victory against Indian Springs on the 5th. As for Westminster School at Oak Mountain, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 36-31 win against Corner on the 5th.
