Softball Recap: Jefferson Comes Up Short

Jefferson fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Antwerp on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Archers by a score of 4-3. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Archers: they've now lost four in a row.

Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Antwerp, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.

Jefferson and Antwerp will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Wildcats will challenge rival Columbus Grove at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Antwerp is set to square off against their familiar foe Tinora at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
